Went to Brasserie for the umpteenth time today for lunch and once again not completely satisfied with my meal.
Although today was one of my better meals here, I don’t think the food is worth the pretty high prices.
Good points:
-They serve the most amazing bread. Almost close to what I’ve tasted in Paris.
- Mashed potato sides were delish.
- I’m not a general fan but anyone who orders the French Onion Soups practically has an orgasm
- They serve ice tea with a different flavor everyday. Today was peach and they also provide it “Arnold Palmer” style, 1/2 iced tea and 1/2 lemonade. Was really tasty.
Bad Points:
- I ordered the Pheasant entree. It was a little to salty for my taste and the brussel sprout side was a little undercooked.
- A co-worker of mine ordered the Provençal Fish Soup and I took a sip and found it way too fishy in taste.
- French Fries side order was nothing spectacular…
- Had the Tuna Tartar to start and it was pretty standard
- Last few times I’ve eaten here, the meal has caused to me to run straight to the bathroom because of stomach pains… Hasn’t happened this time around. Past few entree orders were, the scallops (okay), Chop chop salad (average but a lot people love it) , Loin of Lamb (way over-cooked and not very tender)
Maybe it’s time for me to give up on this place… but they have me giving them another chance over and over again only because I crave their (FREE) bread (I’m a bread whore. :( ).
